Perfectly located for enjoying the woodland walks, wildlife and fishing, which is available free of charge on the River Whiteadder, in season. The nature reserve and coastline of St Abb’s Head are just a few miles away, and at Berwick-on-Tweed, 8 miles, visitors will find a good selection of shops and restaurants. The Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the Northumbrian Heritage Coast, with its unspoilt beaches and castles to explore, are a half hour drive, whilst Edinburgh is an hour away. Mellerstain, Floors Castle and Manderston are among the stately homes within easy reach. Shops and pub serving food 0.5 miles.
