Callington is a small town in South East Cornwall, England, located near to St Mellion, Stoke Climsland, St Dominick, Linkinhorne, and Albaston and is one of 258 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795) and Truro (population 20,920).
Historically Callington was considered to be the tribal capital of the Kingdom of Cornwall and during the industrial revolution of the 18th and 19th centuries was very important as a centre for mining in the area. Today it forms a good base for exploring much of the fascinating county of Cornwall.
