It is ideally set in a residential area for both the beach, shops, pubs and restaurants and the Purbeck Hills for exploring the footpaths and South West Coastal path. Swanage also has its famous steam train and Durlston Country Park to enjoy. Nearby is the ever popular Monkey World and The Tank Museum which make great family days out. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards. Ground floor: Living room with double sofa bed. Dining room/kitchen. Separate toilet. First floor: 3 bedrooms: 2 double, one with en-suite shower room and toilet, one (5ft) zip and link, 1 bunk. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet. Gas CH, gas, elec and bed linen inc. T/cot. Swanage is a coastal town in south east Dorset, England. It is located in the Isle Of Purbeck not far from Langton Matravers, Studland, Wool, Sandbanks, and Poole and is one of over 130 towns and villages in Dorset in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest cities are Salisbury (population 43,355), Southampton (population 234,224), and Portsmouth (which has a population of 187,056 according to the 2001 Census).
Once a small fishing port Swanage grew into a popular tourist destination in Victorian times and continues as such today, with visitors attracted by the beaches and many other attractions in the area.
