One of three properties that occupy this magnificent building which was originally built as a police station in 1858. It has many original features from gothic-styled windows, attractive fireplaces and its own tower that houses one of the single beds. Combine this with the quirky layout, this property makes an extremely special retreat.Dunster village has been built around its own medieval castle with cobbled streets and a bustling high street which is full of art galleries, traditional sweet shops, tea rooms and a wide selection of good places to eat from family pubs to candle-lit restaurants. Minehead's seafront, with its shops, pubs, restaurants, indoor pool, harbour fishing, coastal boat trips and Somerset World is just a 30 minute walk or two minutes by car.The accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: on the first floor are 2 double bedrooms both with flatscreen TV/DVD, 1 with a separate WC. 1 further bedroom with a single bed and flatscreen TV/DVD and steep stairs leading to the tiny open tower room that houses the second single with flatscreen TV/DVD (not advisable for very young or disabled). Bathroom: on the ground floor with shower over corner bath and WC. Lounge: on the ground floor with TV, DVD and hi-fi. Dining room: leads to the more recent additions of the building that houses the Kitchen: with electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Outside: small enclosed courtyard with seating and a BBQ. Amenities: off-road parking for 2 cars. Bed linen, electric and central heating included. Regret no pets. Location: pubs and shops a 5 minute walk, Dunster beach a 10 minute walk.

The picturesque village of Dunster in north Somerset is a place you'll never forget. With its Olde English buildings, restaurants, gift shops, and of course the magnificent castle overlooking both the village and the nearby coastline, a visit to Dunster is one to be treasured. With the seaside town of Minehead just a few miles along the coast and the preserved West Somerset Railway stopping off en-route from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead, visiting Dunster is like stepping back in time.
