Dating back to medieval times the market town of Pickering in Yorkshire, England, sits at the border of the North Yorkshire Moors. It is not far from Wrelton, Thornton-Le-Dale, Newton Upon Rawcliffe, Sinnington, Cropton, and Levisham and is one of over two hundred towns and villages in Yorkshire in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest major cities are York and Leeds.
Pickering has a number of interesting tourist locations including Pickering Castle, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and Beck Isle Museum. It continues to prove popular with visitors to Yorkshire, including both those looking to visit the coast and those who wish to explore the moors.
