Holiday lets in Beer, Devon - Travel Guide to Beer

The quaint fishing village of Beer, on the East Devon coast between Sidmouth and Seaton, is a place like no other. Unspoilt by modern commercialisation it retains its traditional character. Local fishermen continue to sell freshly caught fish near the sea front, and the village provides a number of interesting gift shops, galleries, tea shops and eating places. A superb location to stay at for exploring the beautiful East Devon 'Jurassic' coast.

'We love visiting Beer. It's different - a small, secluded bay, engulfed by large cliffs, from which local fishermen in small boats head out to bring in their catch. It's a peaceful, quiet sort of beach to visit, especially on summer evenings as the sun is going down. The village itself is quaint with a number of good shops especially those selling the works of local artists. But one place we've returned to more than once is the Pecorama Gardens and Railway - the boys just love visiting the model railway exhibition here!
