Nestling at the top of the village of Boscastle you will be within walking distance of the sea and a traditional fishing harbour. Stroll out further along the coast path and from here you can discover many popular sandy beaches (many being dog-friendly all year round) and sheltered coves which are perfect for surfing and sunbathing. Port Isaac and Padstow are also within easy reach and offer a selection of shops and restaurants. For a cultural day out visit King Arthur s Castle the National Trust properties Llanhydrock House and The Old Post Office or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. In the evenings relax on the patio with a glass of wine or visit one of the many local pubs or restaurants. The accommodation is arranged over two floors and offers ONE bedroom king-size with additional pull-out bed that can be used to accommodate one extra person. Bathroom: with feature sunken bath with electric shower over and WC on the ground floor. Lounge: cosy space with electric fire and TV/DVD. A picturesque village on the breathtaking north coast of Cornwall, Boscastle sits on a rocky inlet, with an Elizabethan harbour protected by two stone walls. This popular tourist destination features many charming cottages, shops and tearooms. Visit the Museum of Witchcraft, or the Boscastle Potter as he demonstrates his craft. This quaint village is also known for its appearances in the novels of Thomas Hardy, and for the flash floods that hit the village in 1940.
Boscastle is on the South West Coast Path, and offers many beautiful walking opportunities. The beaches of Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay and Bude are all easily accessible from here, as is Tintagel - famed for the legend of King Arthur. The Eden Project is just 40-45 minutes away, and Lanhydrock, Cotehele, Heligan and Dartmoor are all within an hour’s drive.
