Alternatively use the property as a base as it is a wonderful destination for a car free holiday with the beach and pub serving good food being right on your doorstep. The property has lovely sea views and is a cosy spacious modern cottage which has just undergone renovation and offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite WC and 1 twin. Bathroom: family style with shower over bath and WC. Lounge: with TV DVD hi-fi and woodburner (first basket of logs included). Kitchen/diner: well-equipped with cooker fridge and microwave. Dining area is accessed via two steps up from the kitchen. Utility area with washing machine and freezer. Outside: raised patio area with seating to enjoy the breathtaking views. Helston is a market town in southern Cornwall, England. It is distinguished by being the most southerly town in England as well as the second oldest in Cornwall (after Marazion). It is located within a few miles of Sithney, Porthleven, Wendron, Breage, and Crowan and is one of over 250 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest city is the Cornish capital of Truro with the much larger port of Plymouth being further afield.
Located at the northern end of the Lizard Peninsula Helston used to be known for tin mining, but now tourism forms a large part of its income, given its location in the South West of Cornwall between Penzance and Falmouth, which makes it ideal for exploring this part of the country. The town has become known for its annual Furry Dance (also known as the Flora Dance), which is thought to have originated in medieval times.
