Nelly’s Cottage and Alice’s Cottage are adjoined with a stone archway which leads to a covered courtyard with walled garden area and patio – ideal for bird-watching, butterflies, moths and bees Garden furniture is provided and this area is also ideal for children to play safely.
Situated on Low Corn Riggs Farm, which boasts a Herd of Pedigree Hereford show cattle, the two cottages overlook the stunning views of Weardale.
There is a pub nearby as well as other amenities, home cooked food is available from the farmhouse – just ask us if you would like breakfast which is home cooked with local food and beef and lamb reared on our farm
We Have wonderful dark Skies if you are a star gazer
The surrounding area offers plenty – cycling or walking whilst enjoying the summertime fauna and flora, bird and wildlife watching in the nearby outdoors, or enjoying some of the historic locations such as Hadrian’s Wall or the towns of Beamish, Alston and Durham. we are one mile from Killhope Wheel Museum. we are on the C to C cycle route and the Weardale Way foot path.
This cottage offers total comfort as well as large living rooms with TV (Free View) DVD and two comfy sofas and a comfortable chair, fully fitted kitchen and dining areas which seat up to six.
That is very well fitted with all modern appliances.
This property offers 3 bedrooms including 1 double room with king size bed leading into a ensuit shower room with and shower ,one twin room that has and ensuit roll in shower WC with fitted hand rails ideal for the disabled & a shower stool. .a single room the cottage and can sleep up to 5 people. We have and extra bed that can be added. ( WFI is available in the cottage)
