The property which featured on Fantasy Homes by the Sea overlooks the North Devon Yacht Club allowing you to watch the boats come and go from the lounges and many of the bedrooms. Just 5 minutes walk down to the sandy beach and estuary with a choice of quayside pubs and restaurants nearby. Within a short drive is a wealth of popular safe sandy beaches and attractions to suit all ages. Take a riverside walk to the market town of Bideford where there this is much to see and do with a choice of shops and pubs as well as a pannier and open-air markets. North Devon s coastline is never far away and Westward Ho! beach is only a 5 minutes drive offering 2 miles of golden sands popular with bathers and surfers. Horseriding tennis and golf are also available and the National Trust coast path offers breathtaking cliff-top views. Cyclists and ramblers will love the many miles of the famous disused railway line The Tarka Trail offering stunning views and wildlife spotting. Away from the coast is the rugged beauty of Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks. Keen golfers can enjoy the nearby championship golf courses at Westward Ho! and Saunton and attractions including The Milky Way The Big Sheep Superbowl and leisure centre Tapeley Park Dartington Crystal Arlington Court and RHS Rosemoor great for childres and adults alike. Why not take a day boat trip to Lundy island or explore the pretty harbour at Clovelly the sand dunes at Instow or the pretty quayside at Appledore. After all this activity there are plenty of family friendly village pubs and restaurants in Instow to relax in which all serve good food local beers and ciders are just within a 5 minute downhill walk away.Leisure facilities: hot tub. On the first floor 2 king-size with river views en-suite showers and WC 1 king-size with river views and next to a bathroom with bath and WC. 1 king-size next to a shower room with WC. On the second floor 1 super king-size with fantastic river views balcony en-suite bathroom separate shower cubicle and WC with additional balcony and river views.1 twin adjoining making a superb family suite. Lounge: with river views TV/DVD full Sky package and Wii games console ideal for children. Further lounge with river views and TV/DVD. Dining room: spacious with river views and large table seating 24. Kitchen: well equipped with island stools and double range oven American fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave. Utility room: with washing machine and tumble dryer. Separate WC. Outside: enclosed south facing garden with large flat lawn (approximately the size of a tennis court) patio and raised decked area with hot tub and BBQ. The small port of Bideford in north Devon, England, is located on the River Torridge opposite East-of-the-Water. A perfect location for staying at if you wish to explore the north Devon coast, Bideford is not far from Northam, Abbotsham, Westward Ho!, Appledore, and Monkleigh. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Exeter (population 106,772), and Truro (which has a population of 20,920 according to the 2001 Census).
By the 16th century Bideford had become the third largest port in England, although its importance is far less these day. It is famed for the 'Long Bridge' which crosses the river and which dates right back to the 15th century.
Bideford is easily accessibly by road, being located on the A39 coastal road, and offers much for the holidaymaker wishing to explore this part of Devon.
