Ideal for touring the whole of Devon there are beaches to the north and south and attractions to suit all tastes close by. Closer to home the area is perfect for walkers and nature lovers and rugged Dartmoor with so much to explore is virtually on your doorstep. In the evenings enjoy a meal at one of the many pubs and restaurants in the area or relax in the large lawed area offering a sunny place to sit and enjoy the countryside views. The studio-style accommodation is spacious and comfortable and offers: Lounge/kitchen/diner/sleeping area: large and open-plan with woodburner (1st basket of logs included) TV and Blu-ray player. Sleeping area has 1 zip-and-link double (can be made into twin on request) screened off from the living accommodation. Kitchen area with fridge freezer dishwasher electric oven hob and microwave. Bathroom: with shower over bath shower attachment and WC. Washer/dryer. Outside: large lawn area with seating and BBQ. Amenities: ample parking. Location: beach 38 miles farm shop 2 minute drive shops and pubs in Lydford local villages Tavistock or Okehampton both equal distance 9 miles. Arrival: 4pm

Okehampton is a town in Devon, England, on the north of Dartmoor. Being Saxon in origin it originally grew on the medieval wool trade. It is located not far from Belstone, Exbourne, Inwardleigh, and Sampford Courtenay and is one over three hundred towns or villages in Devon in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest designated cities are Exeter (population 106,772), Plymouth (population 243,795), and Truro (which has a population of 20,920 according to the 2001 Census).
With some interesting sights in the town and itself, and Dartmoor begging to be explored just to the south, a visit to Okehampton is highly recommended as a base for exploring this part of Devon's landscape.
