Dinas - Gywnfryn Farm

Description

Gwynfryn Farm is a family run organic dairy farm that houses a number of holiday properties created from the original farm buildings that date back to 1821. Dinas, all the properties on Gwynfryn Farm are named after one of the many lakes in Snowdonia, is a lovely ground floor, end terrace apartment that is ideal for families wanting to enjoy a break in beautiful Gwynedd The open plan lounge/kitchen area features a a TV, DVD player and CD player. The kitchen is well equipped and features all modern conveniences, including a dishwasher. Dinas has one double bedroom with king size bed and another with twin beds. The bathrooom has a power shower over the bath. Gwynfryn Farm has something for everyone, from the indoor, heated swimming pool to helping to feed the animals on the farm. As well as the swimming pool, there is a fitness room, sauna and jacuzzi, LTA tennis court, a football pitch and inside play area for the under 5's. A large games room houses a pool table, table tennis, air hockey, table football and a 58" TV. With so much to keep you occupied on the farm, it may be difficult to tear yourself away, but this area of Wales has some wonderful activities right on the doorstep. Pwllheli is only 1.5 miles away and is the main town of the Lleyn Peninsular. It has a popular market on Wednesdays and Sundays in the main square. The town is full of character with its narrow streets which have many independent shops, boutiques, traditional pubs, cafes and restaurants, as well as award-winning fish and chips, traditional Welsh ice-cream and seaside rock. The 50 miles of Hertiage coastline have been designated an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. Pwllheli's beaches are mainly south facing and have been awarded the prestigious European Blue Flag Award. Glan y Mor beach is sandy and sheltered near the marina. South beach is mainly shingle and pebble and stretches the length of the attractive promenade with a play area and skate park nearby. Spend the day walking the many miles of coastal walks, watch seals basking on the rocks, visit Pwllheli's Marina, play golf at one of the many courses close by, spend the day walking in Snowdonia National Park or visit the iron-age hill fort. Portmadog is just 13 miles from Pwllheli and Caernafon is just 21 miles away. With its charming houses and breathtaking views Portmeirion is about a 30 minute drive from Gwynfryn Farm. Anglesey Sea Zoo is near by as is the Llandudno Copper Mines, both great days out for all ages. However you choose to spend your day in this beautiful part of Wales, know that when you return, the comfort of Dinas and Gwynfryn Farm awaits you. Another cottage which is not on the Gwynfryn Farm site is available for holiday lets, please view the website for more details.

Gwynedd takes its name from the old Kingdom of Gwynedd and is an area of north Wales which encompasses most of Snowdonia and the Lyyn Peninsula. Although one of the largest local government areas in the country it is also quite sparsely populated. A large number of welsh-speaking people live in the area, and it is home to the university city of Bangor as well as the famous 'royal' town of Caernarfon.
