Ryde is a seaside town on the north east coast of the Isle Of Wight, England. It is located not far from Fishbourne, Seaview, Brading, and Wootton and is one of over fifty towns and villages in Isle Of Wight in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The closest cities are Portsmouth (population 187,056), Southampton (population 234,224), and Winchester (which has a population of 41,420 according to the 2001 Census).
As well as being the most populated town on the island, Ryde is also famous for its pier, the oldest in Britain (and listed as a result) and the fourth longest.
