Pembrokeshire is a maritime county in the south west of Wales, bordered by sea to the north, west and south, occupying much of the region also known as Dyfed. It has borders with Carmarthenshire to the east and Ceredigion to the north east. A mainly English speaking county, Pembrokeshire is known for the quality of its beaches (with many blue flag awards) and as being one of three national parks in Wales (Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons being the others) and the only coastal one. Around the coastline is the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, a 186 mile walking trail which offers stunning views of the cliffs and surrounding sea.
